We are now in the fourth month of our nation fighting the pandemic. And four months of no prevention work could lead to a lifetime legacy of ill health and worsening outcomes for many patients. 

In the initial weeks with COVID-19 I was fuelled by adrenaline but as it trickled away, the true nature of this terrible pandemic is starting to take hold.

As we gain more experience and knowledge surrounding COVID-19, new symptoms of the virus continue to be identified.

A leading vascular nurse consultant said she “could scream Hallelujah” after leg ulcers in community patients were included in a performance-related pay scheme for trusts.
