After over 3 years, Dr Leanne Atkin has stepped down as Chair for the Legs Matter coalition but luckily for us she will continue to be an integral part of the campaign. Leanne has provided exceptional leadership to the group and her passion and hard work have helped to significantly raise the profile of Legs Matter both nationally and internationally.

We all want to say a huge thank you to Leanne and we are delighted that she will continue as part of the group, contributing her expertise to the campaign.

We couldn’t be more pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Gardner as the new Chair of Legs Matter. Sarah has been an invaluable member of the team since its inception and has been the vice chair and treasurer for the past 3 years.

Sarah said:

I feel so privileged to take over as Chair of the Legs Matter campaign. Leanne has been an amazing Chair and I have very big boots to fill! Leanne has enabled us to get to a really strong position in our campaign and I truly believe we are now influencing better care for those experiencing lower limb conditions.

We still have lots to do and therefore will continue to push ahead with our campaign to increase awareness of the importance of lower limb and foot care. I love working with this group of incredible individuals. Despite the pressures clinically or personally we all remain excited about this campaign and enthusiastic about the challenges ahead. A formal review of the campaign strategy is planned for the early part of  2022 so watch this space for any new developments.”

Legs Matter Deputy Chairs

Sarah will be ably assisted by Alison Hopkins and Jo Casey who were elected Deputy Chairs. Like Sarah, Alison and Jo have been a vital part of the team and we are delighted they will be our new Deputy Chairs.
