SVN ‘on the sofa’

What’s it about?

This session followed on from our previous ‘SVN takeover’ discussing the management and myths of patients with peripheral arterial disease. We discussed:

  • What is critical limb threatened ischaemia (CLTI)
  • How to assess patients for signs and symptoms of CLTI
  • When to refer to vascular services
  • The stages of peripheral arterial disease
  • Recognising those patients who may be at risk

Learning objectives

  • Build awareness of chronic limb threatened ischaemia (CLTI) and its appropriate management
  • Recognise the associated signs and symptoms
  • Increase understanding of how to assess patients for PAD and understand the importance of urgent referral to vascular services for patients suffering CLTI

Who should watch?

Those who care for patients with lower limb conditions, complaints or wounds.
