What’s a Legs Matter Champion?
We launched the Legs Matter Champion programme to recognise and support healthcare professionals who are already making a difference in leg and foot care — often without fanfare.

Who can become a Legs Matter Champion?
A Legs Matter Champion is someone who sees the importance of early recognition and treatment of leg and foot conditions and plays an active role in raising awareness in their workplace or community. You don’t need to be a wound care expert – just someone who regularly encounters lower limb issues as part of your role, and who’s committed to improving outcomes.
What Champions do
As a Champion, you will:
- Recognise the early signs of leg and foot problems
- Understand and share best practice for treatment and referral
- Promote awareness in your workplace by displaying resources and sharing materials
- Wear your badge and Champion status with pride
- Act as a voice for leg and foot health in your day-to-day work
What you’ll receive
Every Champion receives a physical and digital Champion Pack, including a pin badge, tote bag, posters, leaflets, social media templates, and access to a digital resource hub to support your advocacy.
How to apply
We’re starting with a small first group of Champions during Legs Matter Week. These individuals will be invited to share their Champion status, including posting on social media or recording a short video as they receive their pack.
After Legs Matter Week, we’ll open the programme more widely to applications and nominations. If you’re interested in becoming a Champion or recommending a colleague, keep an eye on our channels for details.
