Accelerate CIC
St Joseph's Hospice
Mare St
Hackney London E8 4SA

What’s it about?

An event to bring patients, their families and other stakeholders together to talk about and raise awareness around mobility, self-care and the importance of research for people with lower limb lymphoedema and lower limb conditions. The event will be co-produced with Legs Matter and Bikeworks CIC.

There will be discussions in the morning around how can we make research more inclusive; the Legs Matter coalition and going back to basics with self-care and staying mobile. In the afternoon there will be therapy sessions that will include movement and light exercise which physiotherapists and lymphoedema therapists and includes riding on the side-by-side taxi’s provided by Bikeworks, leg checks and podiatrists and a foot health practitioner on hand to talk about footwear.

Come along to learn more about the importance of research in lower limb conditions and how allied health professionals, industry partners and patient support groups champion lower limb care!

Who should attend?

People with lower limb swelling issues, issues with mobility and with their veins or ulcers and their family members or carers. Allied health or other medical practitioners interested in learning more about lower limb care with a focus on mobility.
