What are the Legs Matter Roadshows about?

Kicking off in September 2024, we have scheduled a series of UK-wide interactive roadshows aiming to:

  • Promote a consistent MDT approach in the prevention and treatment of venous disease and oedema
  • Promote a universal common language and action amongst clinicians when presented with patients suffering from venous disease and oedema
  • Raise the alarm on hidden harm – one of the major harms identified by NHS England was clinicians not acting appropriately when presented with patients suffering from venous disease and oedema
  • Promote the message that prevention and early management of venous disease and oedema are key to improving patient outcomes and reducing suffering
  • Ensure all patients have access to high quality and cost-effective care in a timely manner

The Legs Matter Roadshows are being run in partnership with Essity and supported by Huntleigh Healthcare as well as member organisations from the Legs Matter Coalition
