Legs Matter are delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Innovation Award Category in the 2019 Journal of Wound Care (JWC) Awards.

Members of the coalition are looking forward to attending the awards dinner on 1st March…wish us luck!

And even if we don’t win…We’re delighted that our very own Jemell Geraghty from the Royal Free Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust has also been shortlisted for two awards: The Best Clinical or Preclinical Research Award and The Patient Wellbeing Award. Fingers crossed.

Good luck to everyone who’s been shortlisted. All experts doing brilliant work in their fields.

What are the JWC Awards?

The JWC Awards 2019 recognise the hard work of health professionals in all fields of wound care, benchmark standards within wound care, and highlight the outstanding/immense contribution that nurses, clinicians, scientists, researchers and academics make to the ongoing development of wound care research and practice.

Winners are chosen by a panel of judges, experts in the field of wound care, representative of the diversity of disciplines and organisations that make up the sector. The judges have the knowledge and experience to assess each entry according to its objectives and available resources and budget.

Three shortlisted entries in each category will be invited to the awards ceremony, to be held at Banking Hall in London on Friday 1 March 2019, where the winners will be announced.
