The importance of taking care of your lower legs

Brief description of the event

During the pandemic many hospital and clinic appointments may have been cancelled or rearranged which can and has caused anxiety for people who have lower leg health conditions or wounds. We will be chatting about why it is important to look after your legs, what to look for on your legs, hints and tips to self-manage your legs and where to find help and advice.

Who should attend?

Anyone who has an interest in leg care including health care practitioners, NHS staff, care and nursing home, private providers, patients, carers, people who are concerned about their legs.

Monday 22 February 5-6pm on Zoom

What can you expect?

Professor Karen Ousey (University of Huddersfield) will be joined by Dr Leanne Atkin (Vascular Nurse Consultant, Lecturer Practitioner and Chair of Legs Matter) to discuss the importance of taking care of your legs and the impact of poor leg health on your general health and wellbeing. You will be able to ask questions during the event
